Registration

Registration for the 2024 season is now open. Please see this page to answer all of the frequently asked questions, and find a link to register through Netball Australia to play or volunteer for St Gerard’s Netball Club in 2024.

Active Kids Vouchers

If you’re a parent, carer or guardian, your child will be eligible if they are:

  • a NSW resident

  • aged between 4.5 and 18 years

  • enrolled in school (from Kindergarten to Year 12, including those who are home-schooled or enrolled in secondary school education at TAFE NSW)

  • a current Medicare card holder.

You can apply for a NSW Active Kids voucher for each eligible student to go towards the cost of registration. Please note: You must get your voucher number BEFORE registration so please do that first and that Active Kids vouchers are not refundable for cash.

How to Register

Our club provides competitive and social netball opportunities for all participants who want to play. All abilities and levels of skill welcomed to play.

There are two types of registration. Both play as part of the Eastwood Ryde Netball Saturday competition:

  • Net Set Go Under 6 to Under 10 Divisions. This is for players who will turn 6yo in 2024 up to players who will turn 10yo in 2024. (e.g If you are 6yo on or before the 31st December you are old enough to begin playing.)

  • General ERNA Day Competition. This is for all players turning 11yo in 2024 and above. (e.g If you are 11yo on or before the 31st December you should register for this devision.)

New players to the club will be graded and placed within a team appropriate to their age and skills to further improve their development.

There is a one-off registration fee payable at the time of registration for all players. The cost varies slightly based on the type of registration (listed above). If you are eligible for NSW Active Kids vouchers then these can be used toward the yearly registration. Please ensure you have your Active Kids voucher applied for and ready before starting your netball registration.

Netball Australia and the club also require any coaches and umpires to register. Please talk to the club about this once teams are finalised and you can do so in early 2024. All adults working as volunteers within the club require a valid Working With Children Check.
